DMV DE Carroll Returns To Maryland, Raves About Terps

Gilman (Baltimore, Md.) defensive end Mattheus Carroll has been a Maryland priority target for more than a year, but the 6-foot-3, 220-pound three-star hadn’t been in College Park, Md., since last fall. But Feb. 1, right before a dead recruiting period set in, the DMV edge rusher/tight end stopped by the hometown school for another look at UMD.

“It was a really, really good visit,” said Carroll, who is currently wrestling and is in the state finals.
