A familiar face is returning to College Park, Md., after a one-year hiatus. Nose tackle Lavon Johnson, who left Maryland for Texas last year, has opted to transfer back to UMD.
Maryland picked up a cornerback commitment from the transfer portal Jan. 9 when former Boston College defensive back Amari Jackson pledged to the Terps.
Just a couple days after landing running back Trequan Jones from Old Dominion, the Terps dipped back into the Virginia school to grab receiver Na'eem Abdul-Rahim Gladding from the transfer portal.
