Aquinas TE Johnson Said Terps 'Popped' After Offer

Among the multiple Maryland offers that went out to St. Thomas Aquinas (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) prospects Jan. 30 was to rising-star tight end Antonio Johnson. The 6-foot-3, 220-pounder has landed a half-dozen new offers since the January open period began, but said three in particular grabbed his attention.

“Maryland definitely popped out some, and also Kentucky and UCF,” said Johnson, who also has looks from Minnesota, Kansas, FIU, FAU and several others.
