CB Transfer Sheppard Commits To Terps

Maryland picked up a commitment Dec. 11 from Cincinnati cornerback transfer Ja’Quan Sheppard, who was on an official visit to College Park, Md. The 6-foot-2, 190-pounder out of Zephyrills High (Fla.) has one year of eligibility remaining and should have a chance to start right away in UMD’s defensive-back-bereft secondary that will lose starting corners Jakorian Bennett and Deonte Banks.
