Maryland has secured a transfer to bolster its special teams in Eastern Michigan’s Chad Ryland. The Lebanon, Pa., native spent four years at EMU, finishing as the school’s leader in extra points (141) and second in made field goals with 56. He was 45 of 56 for his career, with a long of 55 yards. Ryland, who received an extra year of eligibility due to COVID-19, will be on scholarship at UMD.
