Slot Prentice Back On The Open Market

Slot receiver Kobe Prentice (Calera, Ala.) committed to Maryland on June 30, but less than two weeks later he’s back on the open market. The 5-foot-10, 171-pounder earned a hometown Alabama offer following a standout camp performance in which he clocked a sub-4.4 second 40-yard dash, making Prentice think twice about his pledge to the Terps.

“The [Alabama] offer changes a lot,” Prentice said. “I’ve always wanted to play for Alabama.
