Terps First To Offer JUCO Nelson

The Terps have dipped into noted junior college Lackawanna (Scranton, Pa.) several times, and March 10 Maryland anted up for a budding offensive tackle from the Pittsburgh area. JB Nelson is a 6-foot-6, 310-pounder who picked up his first offer from UMD’s Elijah Brooks.

“Coach Brooks and I were on FaceTime and he told me he really liked my size and how I played,” said Nelson, who added his second offer from Ole Miss a day later.
