Terps After Rising Star North Carolina ILB

Maryland inside linebackers coach George Helow has identified a couple new 2022 targets recently, and one of his more intriguing offers went out to an inside backers from North Carolina. Four-star Xavier Simmons (Northwest Guilford/Greensboro, N.C.) picked up his ninth overall offer from the Terps Sept. 14, adding Maryland to a group that included Duke; NC State; South Carolina; UNC; Va Tech; ECU and a couple others.
