Lakeland (Germantown, Pa.) tight end CJ Dippre had numerous attractive suitors to consider and had visited six of his foremost seven contenders, but it was the University of Maryland that resonated. The 6-foot-5, 245-pound three-star, who earned his second overall power-five offer from UMD back on Feb. 5 courtesy of area recruiter John Reagan, took in College Park, Md., March 7 and said it was perhaps the most impressive college foray he’d embarked on.
