Grad Transfer Benzan Excited To Be A Terp

When Harvard sharpshooter Katie Benzan entered the transfer portal last Aug. 1, it sent relative shockwaves through the women’s college basketball ranks. The three-time All-Ivy League performer, who grew up just 30 minutes from Cambridge, Mass., in Wellesley, sought a different experience in her final collegiate season.

College coaches from around the country vied for the 5-foot-6 guard’s services, and none more ardently than Maryland’s Brenda Frese and her staff.
