Top 50 CG Jones Chooses Terps

Maryland Coach Buzz Williams was intent on securing a point guard in the 2027 recruiting class, and now he has his man. Dynamic Prep (Dallas, Texas) four-star Payton Jones, fresh off an official visit to College Park, Md., Sept. 4-6, chose the Terps over Cincinnati, Clemson and Oklahoma State on Sept. 11.

The nation’s No. 37 ranked recruit and 10th-rated combo guard, per 247, is someone the Terps have been pursuing for over a year.
