JACK Burgess Bringing Explosiveness, Athleticism To College Park

The Terps needed a hybrid JACK to fill the void left by Johnny Newton (Clearwater Central/Clearwater, Fla.), who flipped from Maryland, and they found one in Frankie Burgess (Pahokee, Fla.). The 6-foot-3, 215-pound low three-star officially visited UMD Dec. 13 and then signed with the Terps Dec. 18.

Burgess, who committed to USF back in September, but backed out when the staff was overhauled, has held a Maryland offer since early fall.
