Freshman Alston Enters Transfer Portal

A third Maryland player entered the transfer portal April 8 in freshman Aleks Alston. The 6-foot-10, 204-pounder saw brief action in 25 games in 2025-26 and averaged 1.4 points on 33.3 percent shooting, 20.8 percent from 3 and 55.6 percent from the line. He also grabbed 1.7 rebounds a night. Alston’s best game came against Alabama, when he saw a season-high 25 minutes and scored eight points and pulled down seven rebounds.
