SG Rice Transfers To Maryland

In a much-anticipated move, former Virginia Tech sophomore shooting guard Rodney Rice announced his transfer to Maryland March 24. The 6-foot-4, 195-pound Rice, a native of Clinton, Md., and a former DeMatha Stag (Hyattsville, Md.), becomes the first newcomer to the Terps this offseason after Noah Batchelor, Jahnathan Lamothe and Caelum Swanton-Rodger elected to leave the program.

The former four-star recruit saw a total of eight games at Virginia Tech due to injuries.
