Big Man Traore Transfers To Maryland

Maryland filled the open scholarship after Ian Martinez left the program by bringing in New Mexico State transfer Mady Traore May 15. The 6-foot-11, 220-pound sophomore gives the Terps a much-needed depth piece in the frontcourt, where UMD lacks size and/or experience beyond Julian Reese.

The Frenchman Traore, who arrived in the United States in 2018 and played much of his high school career in the state of Maryland (Bishop Walsh in Cumberland, Md.
