Georgetown SG Carey Transfers To Maryland

The Terps added another backcourt piece May 13 in Georgetown transfer shooting guard Donald Carey. The Upper Marlboro, Md., native Carey is a sixth-year senior known for his outside shooting stroke. The 6-foot-5 Carey connected at a 45 percent rate from beyond the arc in 2020-21 and hit 39 percent of his 3-point shots last season. He will seemingly combine with Charlotte transfer point guard Jahmir Young to give the Terps, on paper, a fairly formidable backcourt heading into 2022-23.
