Terps Land Charlotte PG Transfer Young

Maryland landed its successor to Fatts Russell April 27 in Charlotte junior point guard transfer Jahmir Young. A 6-foot-1, 185-pound lead guard who entered the transfer portal April 7, Young ended up choosing the Terps over Miami, which recently landed Kansas State point guard transfer Nijel Pack.

Young is from Upper Marlboro, Md., and played his high school ball at DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.), and the opportunity to return home readily appealed.
