California CB, Philly Native Spears Lauds College Park Visit, UMD Offer

The majority of the recruits who attended Maryland’s July 27 barbecue event lived within driving distance of College Park, Md., with most coming from nearby high schools and a few more from New York, Pennsylvania, the Carolinas and Georgia. But 2021 cornerback Zakhari Spears‍  (Loyola/Los Angeles, Calif.) took the cross-country flight from the West Coast and spent multiple days in the DMV area.
