Terps Add G Martinez, Lose Hamilton

Maryland lost a player to the transfer portal and added one on April 20. Senior forward Jairus Hamilton elected to leave College Park, Md., after just one season at UMD, while rising sophomore guard Ian Martinez chose to exit Utah and head East to Maryland.

The former four-star recruit Martinez played in 25 games for the Utes and averaged 5.2 points, 1.9 rebounds and 0.8 assists as a true freshman. He shot 49.5 percent from the floor, 32.4 percent from 3 and 84 percent from the line.
