COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Maryland coach Mark Turgeon was surprisingly calm following his team’s 78-67 loss at Rutgers March 3. It was the ninth-ranked Terps’ (23-7, 13-6 Big Ten) second-most demoralizing defeat of the season, after the 67-49 debacle at Iowa way back on Jan. 10. But unlike the postgame in Iowa City, when Turgeon threw his metaphorical hands up in frustration, the headman adopted a more positive outlook in Piscataway, N.J.
