COLLEGE PARK, Md. — For Michigan State, the game plan was clear. After being beaten on the boards and allowing Maryland to match the Spartans physically back on Feb. 15 in East Lansing, Mich., MSU sought to rewrite the script two weeks later in College Park. If Maryland was to beat them twice in one season, well, at the very least the Spartans would go down fighting.

Thus ensued a 40 minute battle Feb.
