COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Taking a look at Maryland’s 56-51 victory against Rutgers Feb. 4:

Maryland’s Defense Did Its Job

With Maryland ahead by just 1, 52-51, with less than a minute remaining, RU’s Caleb McConnell exploited an open driving lane and went up for what looked to be  go-ahead layup. But Terps’ sophomore forward Jalen Smith came from behind and stuffed McConnell, giving the Baltimorean his career-high sixth block of the night.
