COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Anthony Cowan looked dejected. Maryland (17-4, 7-3 Big Ten), after 10 straight wins to open 2019-20, had just lost its second straight game to a depleted Seton Hall squad, in an ugly 52-48 affair in Newark, N.J.

The senior point guard did not play well. Sure, he scored 16 points, but was just 3 of 14 from the field and had five turnovers against three assists.
