COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Following two straight road losses, the Terps responded by playing some of their best basketball of the year in the first half against Purdue Jan. 18. Maryland (14-4, 4-3 Big Ten), which won 57-70, came out with energy for one of the few times this year, and more impressively, the Terps readily executed their half-court offense and connected on shots.
