For Once, The Terps Started Fast

Maryland had played 16 games, and in only one, a victory at a neutral site against Marquette, had the Terps started well at the start of a game. But Jan. 18 the Terps played as well as they had all year in the first half; they ran out to a nine-point lead before the first media timeout and had a 12-point advantage by the second.
