Mitchell Twins Enter Transfer Portal, Leaving Maryland

Two of Maryland’s freshmen big men, Makhi and Makhel Mitchell, have elected to transfer out of the program Dec. 27. The twins, who committed to Maryland in 2018 and were part of the 2019 class, had several issues and reached an agreement with head coach Mark Turgeon, per sources at the university.

”We want to thank Coach [Mark] Turgeon for the opporunity to attent Maryland,” the twins said in a statement.
