Turgeon Addresses Team, Rhode Island

COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Maryland coach Mark Turgeon addressed the media Nov. 8 ahead of the Terps’ Nov. 9 game against Rhode Island:

— Turgeon said his team is a work in progress at this point. He said he considers it a perimeter oriented team rather than an inside team at this stage. But he allowed Maryland needs to be able to operate in the post and slow things down. Turgeon added that the offense turns it over too much and shoots too many 3s at this time.
