WR Farooq Transfers To Maryland

Maryland added a second receiver from the transfer portal Dec. 20 in former Oklahoma wideout Jalil Farooq. The 6-foot-1, 208-pound redshirt senior is someone the Terps ardently pursued out of Wise (Upper Marlboro, Md.) several classes back, but he ultimately wound up in Norman, Okla., with quarterback Caleb Williams.

Farooq will fill one of the wide receiver vacancies left by Kaden Prather and Tai Felton. Tennessee transfer Kaleb Webb will also compete for one of the lead jobs next season.
