Maryland saw its potential starting center enter the transfer portal April 17. Sophomore Colt Deery, who took over as the starter after several games in 2022, announced he would be leaving College Park, Md., after just one season.
The 6-foot-4, 295-pounder, who saw action in all but three games last year, was battling Aric Harris and incoming freshman Tamarus Walker for the lead gig in 2023.
