Maryland Fires Locksley After Disappointing Eight-Year Tenure

Maryland has officially reached the end of the Mike Locksley era. After nearly eight seasons marked by incremental initial progress, three consecutive bowl games and ultimately a dramatic decline, UMD has fired Locksley as its head football coach.

The decision comes four days after the Terps suffered another frustrating defeat, squandering a 10-point halftime advantage in a 37-30 home loss to Rutgers.
