Taking a look at Maryland’s 16-12 victory against NC State in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl Dec. 30:

Defense Does Its Job

Maryland’s defense had been exploited and picked apart during conference play, but in this game the Terps had a clear advantage. The question was whether or not the Terps’ “D” would indeed play a solid, sound game, or suffer from the mental mishaps that had plagued it much of the campaign.
