COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Taking a look at Maryland’s 31-29 loss to Purdue Oct. 8:

Maryland’s Offense Can’t Capitalize

Looking purely at the numbers, the Terps’ offense was just fine and did everything it could to pull out a win. Quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa finished 26 of 38 for 315 yards, three touchdowns and a pick, and Maryland as a whole out-gained Purdue, 387 yards to 373. But those are superficial statistics and tell very little about what actually went on Oct.
