Terps Committed To Cleaning Up Penalties, Defensive Woes Ahead Of Michigan

COLLEGE PARK, Md. — It hasn’t always been pretty, but the Terps did hold off visiting Southern Methodist Sept. 17, 34-27, and moved to 3-0 on the season. Maryland’s offense, penalties aside, has been mostly on-point thanks to quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa and the emergence of running back Roman Hemby, and while the defense has been spotty at best, it did respond in the second half against high-powered SMU.
