OT Finger Retires From Football

Maryland redshirt junior offensive tackle Marcus Finger announced his retirement from football July 27. The 6-foot-6, 315-pounder said lower back and spinal injuries have forced him to give up the game.

Finger appeared in a total of two games in his college career. He saw the field once as a freshman against Howard in 2019 and then played in the opener against West Virginia in 2021. He did not play at all in 2020.

Finger, who is from Wisconsin and moved to Fort Myers, Fla.
