The Terps lost a key defensive back the day of the spring game April 30 in senior Kenny Bennett, who announced his intentions to transfer from Maryland. The 6-foot-3, 200-pounder wasn’t a starter at Maryland, but was a regular rotational piece and figured to see plenty of time rotating in with Tarheeb Still, Jakorian Bennett and Deonte Banks.
As a freshman, Bennett appeared briefly in two games in 2017 and tallied two tackles.
