Cross, Okonkwo Shine At NFL Combine

Both of Maryland’s prospects invited to the NFL Combine in Indianapolis turned heads with their speed March 3-6. Tight end Chig Okonkwo registered the fastest 40-yard-dash time of any tight end with a 4.52-second time, while safety Nick Cross posted the best time for a safety and the seventh fastest 40 overall with a 4.34.

Okonkwo, who measured in a 6-feet-2, 238 pounds, also posted the second best vertical jump of any tight end at 35.5 inches.
