Following the departure of former defensive coordinator and safeties coach Brian Stewart, Maryland head coach Mike Locksley will reportedly hire Wes Neighbors as the new safeties coach. The 32-year-old Neighbors spent last season at the University of Louisiana, where he coached outside linebackers.
An Alabama alum, Neighbors began his coaching career in 2011 as a student assistant with the Tide. He spent seven years in Tuscaloosa, Ala., with Neighbors eventually becoming a team analyst.
