Terps To Hire Thompson As Next LBs Coach

Maryland is reportedly finalizing a contact with longtime defensive assistant Lance Thompson to become the Terps’ next linebackers coach. UMD had a vacancy after allowing former linebackers coach Brawley Evans to walk and seeing defensive coordinator/linebackers coach Kevin Steele bolt for Miami. The Atalanta, Ga., native Thompson, who attended The Citadel, has been involved in coaching since 1988.
