WR Ellis Enters Transfer Portal

Maryland junior receiver DeJuan Ellis, who transferred to Maryland from Virginia Tech before the 2020 season, is on the move once again. The 5-foot-11, 184-pounder entered the transfer portal Jan. 5, becoming UMD’s fifth receiver to do so this offseason.

Ellis had minimal impact in College Park, Md., as he was unable to break into the rotation at wideout, even after UMD had multiple injuries at the position in 2021.
