Maryland saw a fourth receiver enter the transfer portal Jan. 4 when slot Nick DeGennaro announced he would be leaving College Park, Md. The 6-foot-1, 190-pounder earned praise from the coaching staff each of the last two offseasons, and he even rose as high as No. 2 on the depth chart behind Rakim Jarrett in 2021, but DeGennaro had little impact on the offense.

The New Jersey native appeared briefly in three games in 2021 and did not record a reception.
