WR Darryl Jones Elects To Transfer

Maryland receiver Darryl Jones joined Brian Cobbs by entering the transfer portal Jan. 1. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound senior Jones had a huge performance in UMD’s bowl-game victory against Virginia Tech, hauling in a 70-yard touchdown pass and a 32-yard scoring pass. The Virginia Beach, Va., native, who was cast in a starting role following the injuries to Dontay Demus and Jeshaun Jones, hauled in 23 catches for 319 yards and two scores on the 2021 season.
