LB Smith Enters Transfer Portal

Maryland sophomore linebacker Osita Smith entered the transfer portal Dec. 16, becoming the eighth departure from the Terps this offseason. The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder appeared in just two games in 2021, totaling three tackles against Howard and seeing the field briefly against Illinois. The season prior, at strong safety, Smith appeared in four games of UMD’s five games and totaled six tackles. He had three stops against Minnesota.
