Maryland saw another top linebacker and its second-highest-rated recruit in the 2021 class enter the transfer portal Nov. 30. Freshman inside backer Branden Jennings, who at times looked like the best defender on the field in 2021, announced he was heading elsewhere. On Nov. 29, fellow Florida linebacker Terrence Lewis announced he was transferring from Maryland as well.
