Burgess Enters Transfer Portal

Sophomore outside linebacker Frankie Burgess entered the transfer portal Oct. 28 after appearing in three games this season and recording one tackle. Burgess saw action in four of Maryland’s five games in 2020 but did not enter the stat book.

Burgess was someone head coach Mike Locksley oft-praised for his pass rushing capabilities, but he was never able to master the fundamentals or awareness to earn a regular role.
