Position Previews: Special Teams

Taking a look at Maryland's special-teams situation heading into the fall season in late October:

Maryland’s special teams had a rather inauspicious 2019-20. The Terps were OK at times covering kicks and in the return game, but the punters were up-and-down and the kicking game sat at the very bottom of the Big Ten in field goals and kickoffs.

Junior kicker Joseph Petrino was unable to build off his standout freshman season, when he nailed 12 of 14 field goals.
