S Jones Enters Transfer Portal

Maryland redshirt junior safety Deon Jones is entering the transfer portal. Jones, a former four-star recruit in the 2017 class out of Potomac (Oxon Hill, Md.) and Carroll (Washington, D.C.), started six games for the Terps in 2019, recording 34 tackles; a breakup; and a forced fumble. He saw action in 11 games in 2018, finishing with 17 tackles, one tackle for loss and a forced fumble.
