QB Bortenschlager To Transfer From Maryland

Redshirt junior quarterback Max Bortenschlager has decided to transfer from Maryland and use his remaining two years of eligibility elsewhere. The 6-foot-3, 205-pounder from Fishers, Ind., had been at UMD since 2016 and started nine times during his tenure.

Bortenschlager was originally recruited by former assistant Pete Lembo in the first year of the DJ Durkin regime, becoming a last-minute addition to a Maryland team in need of another quarterback recruit.
