Maryland Didn’t Come Ready To Play On The Road

Head coach Mark Turgeon and his team said they’d be ready for their third true road test. But the Terps did not practice well the day before heading to Iowa City, and, shortly after the opening tip, their energy was completely sapped. Maybe it was because Hawkeye Arena was only half full and didn’t feature an electric crowd (the Terps struggled in a similar environment at Penn State), but that’s hardly an excuse for the passive effort.
