COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- There weren’t many teams that needed the extra bye last week more than the Terps (3-7, 1-6 Big Ten). Losers of five in a row and coming off their most demoralizing loss of the season, 73-14 at the hands of juggernaut Ohio State, a worn-down Maryland squad was mercifully afforded a few days to regroup before finishing out the regular season against Nebraska and Michigan State.
