What We Learned After The Indiana Loss

October 19, 2019

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Taking a look at Maryland's 34-28 loss to Indiana Oct. 19 in College Park:

Javon Leake Was at Near Peak

There was some angst when Anthony McFarland (high ankle sprain) couldn’t go this weekend, but Javon Leake quickly alleviated that feeling in a sensational first half.

Leake would finish with a career high 158 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries, but like so much of this Maryland football season it was bittersweet. Maryland (3-4, 1-3) loss for the fourth time in five games and Leake had a big, late miscue when the ball was stripped from him with just 3:42 to play.
